On September 9, 2023, hundreds of residents from Albany came together in an historic event.
People attended from beyond the borders of the City of Albany and joined 11 Law Enforcement and First Responder Agencies, and over thirty Community Organizations, to strengthen relationships in a day of fun, food, and engagement.
Over 4700 prizes were won by those who attended, 1200 dollars were won in our Raffles, and our inaugural Bingo games were a big hit. Our Talent Show hosted by Cherish The Chance, the Double Dutch competition hosted by Nanny's Double Dutch League, were hits as they filled the stage with fun and excitement while our nationally known music emcee DJ Biz played tunes for both the young and older crowds.
Put these things together with our seven Super Heroes, Mickey, Minnie, Alvin the Chipmunk and Minion sponsored by Albany PAL; Pony Rides, Petting Zoo, Drone demonstrations by the NY State Police; 360 degree Photo Booth sponsored by Smile Lounge Interactive and Camelot Print and Copy Center; 6 Inflatables; Child I.D. sponsored by the Albany County Sheriff's Office; Fire Simulations by Albany Fire Department and DHS Office of Fire Prevention Services; Carnival games, Dunk the Joker; and so much more and you have an historic day where relationships were forged that the city of Albany and region will reap the benefits from for years to come.
Special thanks to our sponsors: Assembly Members, John McDonald and Pat Fahy; Camelot Print and Copy Center; Eastern Contracting Association; Broadview FCU; Harding and Mazzotti; NYLIUNA; Bishop Beaudry Construction; TEC Protective Coatings; Hudson Valley Community College; CDTA; Albany County Sheriff's Office; Home Leasing LLC, Albany Rotary Club; MVP Healthcare; John Nigro; NYSUT; South Mall Towers; Edgemere Development; MLB Construction; SWBR Architecture; Albany Housing Authority; Tru Heart; Police Athletic League; Bimbo's Bakery; BMT Catering; US Foods.
Lastly, this would not have been possible without our general's Batman [Paul Collins Hackett and Derek Martin and our boots on the ground volunteer groups from Bryant & Stratton College; University at Albany; Broadview FCU; ALERT Task Force; and the Albany Department of General Services.
