2023 COMMUNITY LEADER AND LAW ENFORCEMENT SUMMIT

Recently, we hosted our annual Community Leader and Law Enforcement Summit at the University at Albany's ETEC Facility.

This year we discussed the Illegal Weapons Pipeline into our Community's and Racism in law enforcement and the Community.

Leaders from numerous community organizations joined ten federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies with the purpose of building lasting relationships that will benefit our region for years to come.

Special thanks to Albany Region ATF, SAC Mark Meeks, and NY State ATF, SAC John DeVito; Interim NY New York State Police Superintendent Dominick Chiumento; US Attorney for the ND NY, Carla Freedman; Colonie Police Chief, Michael Woods; AC District Attorney David Soares; DEA, ND NY ASAC, David Zon; U of Albany Deputy Chief Jennifer Baldwin; FBI ASAC, Don Zumpano; and our Albany Police Department, Chief, Eric Hawkins. Each of these leaders and law entities provided insight into these topics.

Also, our community facilitators did a phenomenal job of keeping our discussion on track: Paul Kane, our own "Batman"; Community Advocates, Michael A. Alexander and Rodney Smith; and 4th Family's John Scott.

Thanks to each of our registrants for attending and giving great insight. Special shout out to Ed Mitzen of Business for Good for sponsoring our luncheon.

Together, we are making Albany stronger, better, and safer. Please keep advocating for righteousness, justice, and mercy. Albany will reap the benefits of these type conversations as relationships are forged in healthy dialogue.
