The Attorney General’s Suburban and Upstate Response to the Growing Epidemic (SURGE) Initiative was launched in 2017 to root out violent drug trafficking.
Led by the Attorney General’s Organized Crime Task Force (OCTF), these multi-agency investigations have brought together the resources of multiple federal, state and local enforcement agencies, and are a truly collaborative effort.
Since its launch, the SURGE initiative has taken 608 alleged traffickers off the streets. You can read about the latest SURGE case here.
